Merchant agreement

Robot Mode LLC provides Afterburner to calculate and administer your affiliate commissions. You authorize processing only for attribution, commission accounting, fraud and dispute review, support, and security. You control program rules, lawful storefront consent, affiliate participation and payments. Afterburner does not hold or transfer funds. Affiliate program terms are separate from this agreement.

Data and instructions

We process store and order identifiers, dates, merchandise amounts, discounts, refund and dispute information, signed referral proofs, affiliate deals and account contact details. We do not request shopper names, addresses, email, phone or payment credentials. We process Shopify data on your documented instructions for these purposes, restrict staff access, and assist with access, correction and deletion requests. Do not put shopper contact details in review notes.

Recipients and transfers

Shopify supplies order information and consent controls. Your affiliates see only their own internal commission references, store, dates, eligible totals, rates and earnings. Those details can remain linkable protected data; they are not anonymous. Robot Mode LLC operates the application. Cloudflare provides production hosting, encrypted database storage, recovery history, and transactional email delivery. Google Workspace handles support email at afterburner@robotmodehq.com. Isolated development testing also uses a private Robot Mode server. These providers may process data internationally. Providers may process data only to deliver and secure the service, under appropriate confidentiality and data-protection terms.

Consent and prohibited uses

Optional referral tracking begins only when Shopify permits marketing attribution. Withdrawal clears referral browser, cart and form state. Established commission accounting and subsequent refunds are a separate purpose. We do not sell data, share it with advertising networks, build cross-store shopper profiles, or make shopper credit or eligibility decisions. Affiliates may use disclosed commission details only to verify their earnings and must not try to identify or contact shoppers.

Retention and deletion

Order-level reconciliation data is retained for up to 180 days; unresolved review snapshots for at most 30 days. Completed event metadata and operational audit logs expire after 30 days, export payloads after 7 days, and local encrypted development backups after 7 days. Cloudflare production recovery history rolls off within 30 days; deleted data may remain in inaccessible recovery copies for that additional period, and independently current deletion records must be applied before any restored data is served. Merchant and affiliate account agreements and payment records are kept while the account is active and for up to 365 days after closure. Deletion requests erase matching order records, including financial details; uninstall schedules erasure from active storage within 30 days, including data from an old installation after reinstall. No automatic legal-retention exception is claimed. Erasure can require the merchant to reconcile remaining balances outside Afterburner before further payouts. Minimal hashed deletion evidence prevents erased data returning from backups and expires after the reimport and backup windows.

Security and incidents

We use HTTPS, access controls, signed webhooks, encrypted credentials, and require verified encrypted storage and encrypted backups for production. Local implementation and test evidence are not a production security attestation. We restrict processing to the agreed purposes, notify affected merchants of security incidents without undue delay, meet applicable Shopify notification deadlines, and assist with required responses.

Requests and termination

Use the configured support contact or your program merchant to request access, correction, export, account closure or deletion. The merchant can forward an operator-assisted request to Robot Mode LLC through their established support channel. Uninstall ends Shopify access. We erase data under the stated schedule and apply deletion records before restoring backups. Changes to this agreement require renewed acceptance before Shopify connection.
